Stephen Meates has joined JUA after 2 years as National Underwriting manager Construction & Engineering at Allianz Australia. Prior to that Stephen had 34 years in Reinsurance & Direct Market dealing with hard to place property business, power generation and resource based businesses.

Peter Latemore (SME Schemes) March 2011
Peter Latemore has joined JUA after 21 years with QBE. While at QBE Peter held senior roles in Underwriting, Claims and Operations on a National Level. Peter's most recent involvement was with the development and operational support of Underwriting Agencies.

Graeme Jones (Liability) May 2011
Graeme Jones has joined JUA following 6 years Underwriting Agency experience as National Liability Underwriter. Prior to this Graeme had worked for 25 Years at CGU obtaining broad Liability experience.

Patrick Gauci (Senior Marine Underwriter) August 2011
Patrick Gauci joined JUA after a short 18 month stint as Senior Marine Underwriter at Chartis Australia. Prior to that Patrick was a Marine Project Manager (Asia) with Zurich Financial Services for 2 years based in Hong Kong and servicing Beijing, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. Before that he was with the then Australian market leader Associated Marine Insurers Agents for 12 years based in Sydney, the last 10 as State Manager.

After more than 26 years of service with JUA, Jennie Howard decided to retire on 24th December 2009. During her time with JUA, Jennie has contributed enormously to the ongoing well being and success of JUA and she will be sorely missed by all. We are grateful for Jennie’s tremendous contribution and dedication to the company. Jennie is also sorry that she has not had the opportunity to say goodbye to everyone but she has left with fond memories.
